I love that we have a station in the belt now. Will surely focus playerbase a bit outside starting safe zone
However, 50km safe zone is way too big.
20km (diameter) would be more than enough for mining.
Also smaller distance from the station to the safe zone border would help in any sort of...
Just a small notice: those are rules that were applicable in Closed Alpha. The only rules that apply now are those found on the official wiki.

And specifically gameplay rules

There are tons of reasons for space jelly drag, and they've been brought over and over again. So let's not bring it here again, and focus on modular thrusters instead.
While endos are robots, they are made humanoid. And because it's absolutely impractical shape in space, my theory is that they have the need to look and move human-like. Maybe they are human consciousnesses controlling robotic bodies? So maybe they need to "feel like human" by sitting in chairs...
Quevin's ship is SB equivalent of IRL Somali pirate motor boat.
Would you call them meta navy vessels of our times, just because they score the most kills on freighter ships?
I wouldn't call a bit of rare fuel enough payment for forcing entire faction to show up at buttcrack of dawn to defend all their possession.
The cost for attackers for not showing up to a staged battle they initiated should be equal or bigger than the cost defenders would pay if they didn't...
You can bolt rockets together, but it doesn't really increase damage potential at all. They all gonna explode at the same point, and the explosion radius is not cumulative.
You'd be better by sending tiny missile equipped ship that launch rockets close to the target and scatter/stagger them a bit.
If they named them "stations", there would be someone who would argue "their not stations, since they can move, and stations are stationary by definition". Just like they do with Deathstar.
Probably term "platform" or "rig" would be more neutral, but not too descriptive.
There are some...
I'm not a fan of tiers, but at least it's not X1 X10 x100 like in some games/mods.
Having T2 going for endurance, while T3 goes for speed is a nice touch as well.
You could do the same with generators, by reducing T2 fuel consumption. Would give a reason to use them over T3
I almost agree. Almost, because civ caps indeed seems like breaking more then fixing... but mil caps sound like really neat siege mechanics.
Forcing attacker (so the initiating side) to put more on a stake than their target (who has no choice) will make warmonger factions think twice before...
I haven't used rails since we got ducts.
However, I use rail movers with turntable a lot for compact high torque rotors, and for high speed rotors. I find them critical for making responsive, armoured turrets.
I can provide some examples tomorrow evening.
I could live without them if other...
