    Console customization?

Some of those wishlist items aren't really viable (yet) as implementable features for any type of craft. Otherwise 20+ features plus basic controls shouldn't be too bad, but I still think asking for smaller buttons is almost pointless when your entire reason for having small buttons is being...

which one was that, everything runs together after so many discussions

    Console customization?

Irl gauges also track functions and systems that don't really exist in the game, you're misapplying the expected level of complexity.

    Console customization?

if you have that many functions you need to keybind, you're no longer flying a one-man fighter

    Discussing future base shields

Armor is either nonessential HP and/or damage reduction in most cases, sometimes it's used as hit mitigation, shields are a regenerating HP pool and/or damage reduction and/or hit mitigation, depending on the mechanical flavor of a system. Having two mechanics too closely related works well for...

You say this, but if your command chair goes down, you'll need to be able to press those buttons.

What will happen if I force to break the 94000 limitation?

Next most recent quote is three months later and mirrors much the same: at least it's not a locked number

What will happen if I force to break the 94000 limitation?

I demand sauce, I've never seen any indication of a hard limit being put in place, only talk of optimisations raising the effective maximums.

What will happen if I force to break the 94000 limitation?

Your cpu will melt. It's not a game limit, it's a processing limit based on your hardware. This is the mos common misunderstanding people have when the parts limit is discussed. It also doesn't count, bolts, connector plates, or cables.

Could energy weapons use cable to only drain the ship's power to fire?

weapons already pull power from the grid to run, it costs 500/sec for a single AC to continuously fire, the other weapons are likely to have a similar power draw, not counting things like recharging shots on the laser cannon, direct power to an energy weapon, like the plasma cannon example would...

Could energy weapons use cable to only drain the ship's power to fire?

it'd be cool if you could run a plasma cannon off of a power cable and propellant tank tho, even if it cost more resources per shot, it'd be a nice way to make the energy weapons more unique compared to kinetic ammo which just wants for lack of a larger ammo box

    Discussing future base shields

that's just a segmented HP pool, it's the difference between a taco and a taco salad we've had this one mentioned before, it's one of the more interesting shield depletion mechanics that doesn't rely strictly on dropping a rechargeable HP pool to zero

    Planets, Rovers, and Other things

turntables, but using beams and plates as tires might not work so hot, we've also got no way to make responsive suspensions

    Planets, Rovers, and Other things

That only holds on moons without gravity, once planetary gravity can be implemented you can expect ground vehicles to gain a niche. But right now their primary advantage is they don't require propellant to move.

    Fuel Stations

It also depends on the density curve of ice surfaced asteroids, if they're common enough and refinery tools are cheap enough, anyone could support themselves, killing most of the fuel market. It doesn't help that the MMF loses efficiency with size, making the smallest possible builds the most...

    Ship Armor

Spaced armor is only really useful for limiting the effectiveness of explosives, which now have proper line of sight for their damage bubbles, and then the spacing still needs to be somewhat extreme to be totally effective, increasing the weight of the supporting framework. What's more...
