There are 10 moons that you can land on (one has already been visited twice). However, there are no atmospheric or gravitational effects of these moons (yet).
Also, there have been talks of gas clouds that might damage your ship as you pass through them.
I did see that some of the Alpha Testers were able to connect wires and pipes from ones ship to another if the two ships were absolutely still. You could probably find someone whom you could mooch some power off of.
I prefer the forums immensly more over Discord. Reddit is mostly out of the running it seems.
I enjoy the organized, thoughtful discussions that the forum style promotes. Also, it's much easier to jump into a forum thread than a group chat since you can see all the relevant talking points...
I'm excited to see those flashlights in use. Also, is there a thorough explanation of how the station economy works around? I get the impression it's a lot deeper than is generally mentioned.
I think you can only bolt things together that are touching. You might be able to make some sort of wheelbarrow like thing that you could push around with your jetpack.
Hello and welcome. Here are some answers to your questions (and ones you didn't ask too):
You are able to buy cosmetic armor sets at shops in the various stations, but everyone looks the same by default.
You do have to start from scratch to get started. There are currently two jobs (robot...
You should be able to just make them small enough to not take up tons of space, right?
Also, while you are at it making this spreadsheet, the wiki might be able to benefit from all these pictures and info!
Thank you very much for your response. I really appreciate it. I'm sure that you all have been laser focused on the CA and the feedback that you're getting from them. Plus, posting in the forums is a bit more involved than a quick message in discord. I understand.
Thank you for considering my...
I could imagine situations where old ships become obsolete from damage changes, just like from power changes. Imagine that at some point 2 layers of standard armor are plenty enough to stop a few normal auto-cannon rounds. Then, after damage is reduced, it only takes one layer to have the same...
A wanted list and place for players to place bounties is one of the things that my group (see signature) is for. I still need to advertise way more and make it much clearer what players should be doing when they first show up in the discord, but you are very right about player(s) making a bounty...
Stuff doesn't float off for long. The near-Eos-space-drag takes care of that. Also, debris being cleaned up automatically is based on the size of the object. Some things could be there for months:

Isn't that what the tractor beam already does and is used for on ships such as the pincer?
I don't think having magnets is such a bad idea, but I think that their purpose shouldn't intersect with items that are already in game. I could see magnets in use as a sort of "cargo lock" surface, where...
I have two ideas for how to improve missile pods.
--- Idea #1: Small Pods ---
For increased customizability there could be more sizes of missile pods. I think that there should be at least a 1 or 2 tube pod that would be great for low-profile, or budget ships to carry missiles. I could also...
They do something similar to this to the bridge of the large ship in the announcement trailer. For better or for worse, cameras are unlikely to be in the game any time soon.
